What is the VA Platform 2.0?
Our platform is a holistic solution for managing medical marketing materials from creation to distribution. The built-in editor enables users to create and edit content for various use cases, such as email, print, social media, and presentations.
Users can add or modify images, adjust content using powerful editing tools, and collaborate seamlessly by commenting and reviewing materials with their team—all within the platform.

How do I sign up for the VA Platform?
To access our platform, please contact our sales team (here). Once onboarded, users can view and manage various materials created within their organization, with access based on predefined user roles. This ensures that the right content is available to the right people, streamlining collaboration and content management.
How do I use the platform?
You can upload your own research or search for publications directly on PubMed. Once imported, the content is automatically segmented, allowing you to start a new project effortlessly.
Use our extensive template library for various use cases to create and edit your marketing materials. Access our image database or utilize Generative AI to generate custom images. If you need any specialized assistance, feel free to contact our customer service team for support.
How do I create new materials in the Editor?
1. Start a New Project
Click the “”Create New”” button on the Home page, within the relevant use case, or on the template page.
2. Define Project Details Specify the project properties, including the project name, use case, and language.
3. Select Data Choose data from segmented files. Ensure the file is segmented and approved. If not, search for or upload a file to segment.
4. Choose a Template Pick the desired template for your material.
5. Add Reviewers (Optional) Select and add reviewers if needed.
Note: Steps 3-4 are optional and not mandatory to create a new material.

Who can edit the material in the Editor?
User with owner rights can edit the content in the editor. Users with Review rights cannot edit the content of the editor but can view, comment and send feedback for the review process.
Can I use my company data to create communication materials?
Yes, you can upload your own data directly into our platform. Depending on your company’s structure and interface, you can seamlessly integrate it into the Visual Abstract system to create tailored communication materials.
Can I customize my marketing materials to align with my brand?
Absolutely! Our platform allows for extensive customization, enabling you to align your marketing materials with your brand’s identity. You can modify colors, fonts, and layouts to create a cohesive look that resonates with your audience.
What formats can be downloaded, and how can I customize content?
You can download materials in PDF and JPEG formats. The platform allows you to customize brand-aligned templates while ensuring compliance with integrated approval workflows.
How can I search for and organize scientific papers on the platform?
You can search for a paper from PubMed or Springer Nature by looking up the name of the paper, DOI, or Author. Users can review the paper on a new tab, bookmark it, or directly send it for segmentation from the Search page. Additionally, you can create categories for organizing and saving your files.
Do you offer translations?
Yes, we are continuously working on adding more translation options in additional languages. You can easily translate your materials with just a click. If you need support for more languages, please reach out to us.
Can I export my materials and store them in my storage solutions?
Yes! You can export your materials to various storage solutions, including SharePoint, Veeva, and more. We support interactive formats in HTML that you can host on your own servers or websites.
Are there any system requirements for using the VA Platform 2.0?
No, only current generation browser for seamless working and experience.

What is Data Segmentation?
Data segmentation segments a paper which is either imported from the Search page or uploaded by the user into various text, image and graphics fields based on the AI prompts to generate smaller, concise and easy-to-understand fields for the user. The user can then review these fields, edit, and derive important points for material creation.
How does the Data Segmentation Module work?
Users can segment their data/paper which is either imported from the Search page or manually uploaded by the user. Once the paper has been segmented, the user can review each segment and approve it or approve the entire segments. The data is segmented into text, images, and graphs which the user can review, edit, or change. Users can then move the desired segments into derived fields for material creation in the editor.
How do I use the Image Module?
You can search for images using keywords in the existing database, create new images with Generative AI via the “Create Image” button, or upload your own. When creating, input prompts and choose from generated results. Make sure to tag your images before saving to keep them organized and easily searchable.
How can I order new images from the Visual Abstract team?
Users can contact the VA team using the contact form or chat on the home page for specific image requests. The VA team will gather requirements via email and provide the created images for approval and use.
How do I order new templates?
Users can contact the VA team using the contact form on the home page to request new templates. The VA team will gather requirements via email and provide the created templates, which will be uploaded to the organization’s template database upon approval.
What are Material/Project settings?
Users can change the deadline, owner, and status of the material from the settings pop-up. The owner of the material can also add, remove, and change the access of the users added to a material.
